PHILADELPHIA WINGS ACQUIRE 2024 1st ROUND PICK IN TRADE FOR TAGGART CLARK

Wings receive 2024 1st round pick and 2025 3rd round pick from New York Riptide in trade deadline day move

PHILADELPHIA (March 12, 2024) – Today, the Philadelphia Wings made an NLL Trade Deadline Day move when they traded forward Taggart Clark and a 2024 2nd round pick (via SD) to the New York Riptide in exchange for a 2024 1st round pick (via COL) and a 2025 3rd round pick (via SD).

The 1st round pick, which New York previously acquired from Colorado, currently sits as the second overall pick in the 2024 Entry Draft based on current standings.

“We’re very excited to get into the first round of this upcoming draft,” said Wings general manager and head coach Paul Day. “We believe this will help us in the future while not hurting us now, and we wish Taggart nothing but success.”

The Wings selected Taggart Clark with the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NLL Draft. After returning to Robert Morris University for his final season of NCAA eligibility, he joined the Wings for his rookie campaign this season. Appearing in seven out of eleven games thus far, he’s collected seven goals and five assists.

In a corresponding move, forward Jack Jasinski was elevated to the active roster once the trade was approved by the NLL.

The Wings are back in action this Saturday at 7:30PM when they travel to take on the Georgia Swarm. Fans can stream the game on ESPN+.
