MARC FARZETTA BECOMES THE VOICE OF THE WINGS AS PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER

Philadelphia, PA –Marc Farzetta is set to become the official voice of the Philadelphia Wings as the Public Address Announcer for the 2018-19 season.

Farzetta has been a Philadelphia sports media personality since 2005. He can currently be heard Monday through Friday co-hosting Farzetta & Tra in the Morning on 97.5 The Fanatic and can also be seen co-hosting NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Philly Sports Talk Monday through Friday.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Marc this season,” said Lindsey Masciangelo, Executive Director of Business Operations for the Philadelphia Wings.  “Marc is the perfect addition to the team as we begin a new era of Wings lacrosse and look forward to the energy, enthusiasm and passion he will bring to the arena during each game.”

“I was very excited to learn that the Wings were coming back to Philadelphia and now I’m flat out thrilled be a part of their return,” said Farzetta. “Lacrosse has always interested me and I’ve been a fan of the Wings since I went to my first game in 2004. It’s an incredible sport!”

Outside of his work in front of the camera or behind the microphone, Farzetta has also worked as an Associate Producer for NBC’s Sunday Night Football where he received Emmy recognition. As an AP with NBC he worked on production teams that produced Super Bowls 43, 46, 49 & 52 as well as three Winter Classics and various events of the Triple Crown.

The Philadelphia Wings, the newest expansion team in the NLL, officially bring professional lacrosse back to the City of Brotherly Love during the Welcome Home Opener set for Saturday, December 15 at Wells Fargo Center. The Wings return to their official home at the Wells Fargo Center for the first time since the 2014 NLL season, after Comcast Spectacor acquired the NLL expansion franchise in 2017.
