CRAYOLA EXPERIENCE AND PHILADELPHIA WINGS TEAM UP FOR “COLOR YOUR WINGS” DASHER BOARD DESIGN CONTEST AND KIDS DAY
Youths get a chance to showcase their creativity, win prizes for their entire school, and participate in a Crayola-themed game day event
Inspired by themes of color, creativity, and teamwork, the keystone of the Color Your Wings experience is a dasher board design contest that will culminate at the Crayola Experience Kids Day game when the Wings face off against the New England Black Wolves at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m. The top four designs will be displayed on dashers during the game and a winner—selected by a public vote—will be announced.
The winner will receive a Wings VIP experience and a family four pack of Gold Level annual passes to Crayola Experience in Easton, Pa. In addition, the winner’s school will get to share in glory: The Wings players and mascot Wingston will visit the school and all students will receive a commemorative Wings 4-pack box of Crayola crayons, tickets to Crayola Experience Easton, and tickets to a future Wings game.
To enter, kids will design colorful dasher boards that show what it means to work together as a team.
“This is a unique opportunity for our youngest fans to add their personality to the arena,” said Lindsey Masciangelo, Chief Operating Officer, Philadelphia Wings. “We are excited to partner with Crayola Experience to engage and celebrate kids during our March 7th game.”
In addition to the contest, the Color Your Wings experience—which runs January 13 through March 7—includes special appearances by Wings players and Wings Mascot Wingston, and several Wings-themed activities at Crayola Experience Easton. Crayola Experience also will bring its unique brand of color and creativity to Wings fans during the Kids Day game on March 7 with interactive opportunities on the concourse and a commemorative Wings 4-pack box of Crayola crayons given to the first 1,000 kids to enter the arena.
“Creating family experiences is a core mission of both of our organizations,” said Victoria Lozano, Senior Vice President, Crayola Experience—Crayola’s premier, one-of-a-kind family attraction. “This winter collaboration provides a number of opportunities for kids be creative, to add colorful excitement to the game, and for families to create lifelong memories.”
