Piseno was selected 35th overall by Rochester in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft. He was under the watchful eye of the Knighthawks staff as a member of the Hawkeyes in the Upstate Collegiate Box Lacrosse League. In the summer of 2023, he helped the Hawkeyes to an undefeated regular season and earned a spot on the National Collegiate Box Series All-Tournament team.

This season, he established himself as a professional box lacrosse player. He played 17 games and doubled his loose balls and caused turnovers. He also added seven blocks this season. Along with the defensive stats, he was one of the best scoring defenders in the league. He ranked fifth among transition players with eight goals and added six assists.

His introduction to box came later in his career, but Piseno has shown through two seasons in the Premier Lacrosse League that he is one of the best long stick midfielders in the world right now. Already a two-time PLL All-Star, he won the Brodie Merrill Long Stick Midfielder of the Year award last summer for his dominant play with the Denver Outlaws.
Before being drafted, Piseno spent five years at the University of Albany, where he was named America East Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and ’24. As a senior, he was named the recipient of the prestigious William C. Schmeisser Award, presented to the best defensive player in Division I men’s lacrosse. In that season, he scooped up 79 ground balls and caused 44 turnovers while also adding 13 goals and six assists.
In 2023, Piseno made his debut for the Haudenosaunee Men’s National Team at the World Lacrosse Men’s Championship. He made six starts in eight games and had 11 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. His output earned him Defender of the Tournament as well as a spot on the All-Tournament team.
