The Philadelphia Wings have acquired goaltender Zach Higgins from the Buffalo Bandits, along with a fourth-round selection in the 2020 NLL Draft, in exchange for goaltender Doug Buchan and a second-round pick in the 2020 NLL Draft, according to head coach and general manager Paul Day.

“We are very excited for Zach to join the Philadelphia Wings,” Day said. “He has had experience as a starter in the NLL. He is 28 years old and we think he is ready to take the next step.”

Higgins appeared in 11 games over the past two seasons in Buffalo Highlights of his time with the Bandits include a 54-save performance in an 18-9 win over Georgia on Feb. 10, 2018 and a 34-save night in a 16-15 nailbiter at Saskatchewan on January 19, 2018.

Higgins has spent seven seasons in the NLL with Buffalo, Calgary, Georgia and Minnesota. He was Minnesota’s primary goalie in the 2015 season, going 5-8-0 while playing a career-high 830 minutes.
