Wings Dancers Head Coach

Kerri joins the Philadelphia Wings Dancers as Head Coach after an 8 year career as a professional dancer in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers Dancers where she served as Team Captain for her final 3 years. During her time with the Sixers, she danced internationally with the NBA, performing in China, Taiwan, Spain and England and has performed with several recording artists such as Montell Jordan, Jordin Sparks, Naughty by Nature, Nina Sky, Bell Biv Devoe, Biz Markie and Cupid.

Kerri is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where she was a member of the SJU Dance Team and competed on the Nationals Team. She received her Master’s Degree from Immaculata University and currently teaches preschool in South Philadelphia. A native of the surrounding Philadelphia area, Kerri has always been a Philadelphia sports fan. She is very excited to be part of the Wings Family and is eager to build a team of top performers for the Wings Dancers!

Dance Experience: I’ve been dancing since I was 2 years old in all styles. I competed in regional and national competitions growing up. In college, I was a member of Temple University’s Dance Team. I am also a former NBA Dancer for the Philadelphia 76ers.
How I got into dancing: My mom owns a dance studio, so dancing is definitely in my blood. She told me before I was enrolled in classes, I used to walk into her classes and try to dance with everyone. She knew she had to sign me up immediately!

One thing you wouldn’t know about me: My parents are both from Sicily, so I speak fluent Italian!

Dance Experience: I have been dancing for 19 years and began my training at Front & Center Dance Studio. By the age of 6 I began competing in numerous dance competitions and continued until my senior year of High School. From there I went on to dance in college on the nationally ranked West Chester University Dance Team, where I was given the opportunity to serve as captain my senior year which was an extremely rewarding experience. As well as being a part of the Philadelphia Wings I am now a dance teacher at Mainstream Dance Academy where I love choreographing hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, tap and contemporary pieces. I hope to continue inspiring young dancers and grow professionally!

How I got into dancing: My parents said anytime music was on I couldn’t sit still so they signed me up when I was 4 years old and I just never stopped!

How I got into dancing: Mom put me in at 2 years old and here we are now. Wouldn’t want to spend my time doing anything else!

One thing you wouldn’t know about me: I was showcased in a lifetime movie called “Days of Power” as a background dancer.
Dance experience: I began dancing at the age of 3 years old and joined my local studio’s competitive dance team at the age of 8 years old. Through my experience on a dance team I was given many special judges awards, scholarships and opportunities such as performing on a Caribbean Cruise and performed in Disney world. I was also the captain of my high school cheerleading team. Upon graduating from my local studio I occasionally danced in New York at Broadway Dance Center and Peri Dance Capezio Center, I also danced at events hosting bar and bat mitzvahs with All Around Entertainment.
How I got into dancing: My mom entered me in dance classes when I was 3 years old, she was and still is my biggest supporter

One thing you wouldn’t know about me: In high school, I danced for the Pre-Professional 76er’s Dream Team and traveled to the Bahamas to assist and perform in the Love A Child Benefit Workshops and Concert.
Dance Experience: I began dancing at the age of three and have since trained in several different styles of dance, such as pointe, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, latin, aerial, and hip hop. In high school, I continued studying at my local dance studio and also danced on the Notre Dame High School dance team and on the Pre-Professional 76er’s Dream Team. I then attended Muhlenberg College on a dance scholarship and graduated as a double major in Dance and Business!
How I got into dancing: When I was little, my parents signed me up for EVERYTHING, from swimming lessons to cooking classes. I ended up falling in love with dance and haven’t stopped dancing since!

Dance Experience: I started training at a studio when I was 4 yrs old and danced competitively throughout high school. I was on the Syracuse University Dance Team for 4 years and served as captain my senior year. Since graduating I’ve held hip-hop master classes at my former studio, and danced for an AHL team for 1 season prior to moving to Philly this year.
How I got into dancing: My parents signed me up for a bunch of activities so that I’d have the opportunity to figure out what I really liked. It came down to figure skating, soccer, and dance. I loved being on a stage and performing so here we are!
