Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Philadelphia Flyers
Shawn Tilger is the Governor of the Philadelphia Wings franchise and was instrumental in bringing lacrosse back to Philadelphia. In his role as Governor, he works strategically with the NLL and other teams across the league to continue the growth of the sport and the league. He finds synergies with other Comcast Spectacor properties and focuses on overall development of the team and the business.
Shawn also serves as the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of the Philadelphia Flyers. He is entering his 15th season and is responsible for driving the strategic vision and sustained growth of the club, overseeing every facet of the team’s off-ice business operations, corporate partnerships, and revenue growth initiatives. He also serves as an alternate governor of the Flyers on the National Hockey League’s Board of Governors.
During Tilger’s tenure, the Flyers have enjoyed tremendous advancement on the business side of the organization and have been consistently ranked among the NHL’s leaders in sales, marketing, public relations and community efforts.
Tilger was a 2010 recipient of the Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40 Award,” given each year to 40 of the top sports executives under the age of 40. The publication also previously recognized him as one of its “Five People to Know in Ticketing.”
Tilger has over 27 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Prior to joining the Flyers, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Marketing for Comcast Spectacor, overseeing marketing, public relations, and sales of family events and concerts at the Wells Fargo Center and the Spectrum.
A native of Beverly, New Jersey, Tilger received an M.A. in Sports Management from Springfield College and a B.A. in Government and Law from Lafayette College. Tilger resides in Moorestown, NJ with his wife Erika, daughter Ava, and son Gavyn.
Executive Director, Business Operations
Lindsey Masciangelo is the Executive Director of Business Operations for the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse team. She is responsible for driving the strategic vision and growth of the team, and oversees ticketing, marketing, corporate partnerships and public relations.
Lindsey has over 15 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry. She previously served as the Vice President of Marketing for the Philadelphia Flyers. During her tenure with the Flyers, she built a high performing marketing department that encompassed advertising, new media, sponsorship activation, publicity, and community relations efforts. She started her career promoting Disney on Ice with FELD Entertainment and then joined Comcast Spectacor’s Wells Fargo Center marketing department to handle marketing and public relations for family shows at the complex.
She also spent time with Comcast Cable’s learning and development team and owns and operates her own leadership development consulting business, MiMo Consulting, where she works with organizations of all sizes to identify potential areas of growth through the development of their people.
Lindsey earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from Boston University where she played field hockey. She then received her Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from St. Joseph’s University. She currently resides in South Jersey with her husband Drew and two daughters, Mia and Morgan.
Dana is responsible for digital and social engagement across all of the Wings media platforms as well as publicity for the team. Dana previously handled in-game promotions, social media and was in front of the camera for the minor league baseball team, the Hartford Yard Goats. Dana was also the in-arena host for men’s hockey and basketball at the University of Connecticut and worked in the multimedia departments at the America East conference and Villanova Athletics. Dana graduated from Ursinus College where she was a gymnast and a golfer and is originally from West Hartford, Connecticut but now resides in Center City Philadelphia.
Jalal Hodges, Graduate of Immaculata University with a bachelors in Communications. At Immaculata, I was the Goal Keeper and Captain of the lacrosse team. Previous work experience includes WIP 94.1 Sports Radio, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Rays. From a large family of 9 kids. Born and raised in Egg Harbor Twp. NJ.
Michael is an Account Executive for the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse team. As an Account Executive, he handles all ticket packages including groups, premium areas, and season tickets. Michael’s main responsibility is to work with ticket members and people in the community to help grow the Wings fan base throughout the area. Previously, he held positions with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the West Virginia Black Bears (Pirates Single – A short season affiliate), and his alma mater, West Virginia University.
Originally from Bear, Delaware, Michael grew up playing lacrosse in the tri state area and remembers going to the Specrtrum to see Philadelphia Wings games as a kid.
Alex Turner is the Lacrosse Operations Manager for the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse team. He runs the day to day operations at the teams practice facility and helps create and coach the youth programming that runs out of it. Alex is heavily involved in the areas lacrosse community and is dedicated to growing the game and getting people interested in lacrosse.
Alex grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia, playing box lacrosse and hockey. He eventually stopped playing hockey to focus on his lacrosse career and move to New Westminster to play Jr. A lacrosse for the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Alex played field lacrosse for Simon Fraser University until he was drafted 33rd overall in the 2008 NLL entry draft by the San Jose Stealth. He was also drafted in the WLA (Western Lacrosse Association) 4th overall to the Langley Thunder. Alex played seven years in the NLL for a number of teams including the Philadelphia Wings in 2011 and concluded his career with the Colorado Mammoth in 2015. He played eight year with the Langley Thunder where he was named the assistant captain, attended two Mann Cups and sits second in all-time Thunder scoring. He spent two season as the offensive coach for the Jr. A Thunder. Alex and his wife Angel currently reside in Deptford, NJ with their two dogs Lucy and Levis.
Kevin handles day to day marketing and partnership activities for the Philadelphia Wings with the goal of extending the Wings brand into the marketplace. He works to engage fans through branded premium items, sponsorship activation, and strategic partnerships. Kevin is a master’s student at Temple University in the Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management program and received his undergraduate degree in Information Systems Management from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the Wings, Kevin interned in the Philadelphia Flyers marketing department and also at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. He started his career in the trade show industry at Art & Display in his hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. He currently resides in Philadelphia with his fiancé Alison.
Paulina is the Digital Communications Intern and a recent graduate of Temple University with a degree in Media Studies and Production and a minor in Sport Recreation Management. Paulina previously worked at her alma mater’s athletic program as a social media intern, video production intern, and a Temple Football student worker. From there she moved into the professional sport industry as a graphic/video design intern for the Philadelphia Soul and has had some of her work displayed on the big screen at the Wells Fargo Center. Paulina was born a Philadelphia sports fan and is from 30 minutes up I-95, but currently resides here in the City of Brotherly Love.
Joe is the Lacrosse Operations Intern and is quite up to speed in the Lacrosse industry. Carlini spent his college career as a short stick defensive midfielder for Johns Hopkins University and recently graduated in 2017. In his college career, his team qualified for four NCAA Championship Tournaments and won the inaugural Big Ten Championship in 2015. He currently represents the Lacrosse world as an Assistant Coach for Catholic University in our nation’s capital and now shows his pride for Philadelphia working at the Philadelphia Wings. His role is to interact with the lacrosse community and enhance our presence in the area. Carlini is a native to the area and currently resides in Malvern, PA.
