Sellars was selected by the Georgia Swarm with the 10th overall selection in the 2016 NLL Entry Draft and was acquired by PCLC in the Expansion Draft. Sellars recorded career highs in Loose Balls (88) and caused turnovers (17) during the 2021-2022 season. Sellars was a member of the 2017 Georgia team that won the NLL Champions Cup.

Sellars played Jr. A for the Brampton Excelsiors, where he recorded 61 points in 59 career games played. Sellars also competed in the NCAA for Belmont Abbey, where he scored 174 points on 113 goals and 61 assists in just 48 career games played.

In 2010, Sellars was part of the Halton Hills team that won the Founders Cup, awarded to the Canadian Jr. B champions.
